'Seoul’s Unique Women’s Policies and Welfare – the Driving Force behind Living a Better Life Together'
Now that many live to the age of 100, it has become imperative that people have access to the system that ensures public health, education, work, welfare, and women’s increased participation in the social cycle. Such socioeconomic elements are the crucial fuel that drives sustainability of any global city. Accordingly, Seoul has adopted innovative policies, such as the Public Health Care Master Plan (Health Seoul 36.5), the “living wage” system, integrated plans for women’s safety, and comprehensive plans for the assistance of those 50 years of age and older. The Office of Women & Welfare Policies seeks to bring society together as it takes a step closer to a brighter future.
